Julia graduated from Wilfred Laurier University with a degree in Kinesiology and continued her studies in Athletic Therapy at Sheridan College. She recently graduated from the Canadian College of Osteopathy, and completed her thesis to become an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner (December 2022). Throughout Julia’s osteopathic schooling, she continued her career as an Athletic Therapist focusing on manual therapy over the past 8 years. Although much of the past 15 years has been spent in school, Julia has continued to fulfill her love of the outdoors through running, cycling, skiing, and mountain biking. She has always been a very active person participating in completive sports throughout her life. This has given Julia an appreciation and understanding of what it means to be sidelined with injuries, the recovery process, and capacity of the human body to heal. Julia is an outgoing, passionate individual who strives to empower others to take control of their own health and recovery.
Julia frequently sees an array of individuals suffering from acute and chronic conditions of all kinds (low back pain, headaches, digestive concerns, etc.). She uses osteopathic principles and techniques in treatment and provides therapeutic exercises that continue to guide your rehabilitation outside of the office. Through providing personalized education within treatment, Julia's goal is to provide you with a deeper understanding of your own body, preventing future injury and/or pain!
